AN INTRODUCTION

Gina Conway has opened three luxury salons in London, and you can find them in Wimbledon, Notting Hill and Fulham. Each salon was created as a sanctuary, where each guest can feel pampered from head to toe. The salon in Notting Hill launched in 2005 and is housed in an iconic building, beautifully set with high ceilings and pillars, making it a prominent feature on Westbourne Grove. Within the Notting Hill salon, you will also find The Barber Shop for men. The Gina Conway Academy is highly-regarded and there is a waitlist to join the training programme.

In 2019 alone, Gina Conway have won a stack of awards. These include Best New Salon by Creative Head magazine. Salon of the Year in the London Lifestyle Awards. Best Customer Service in both the British Hairdressing Business Awards and the Merton Business Awards. Men’s Colour Genius in the Colour World Genius Awards. As well as customer service, Gina Conway way also walked away with Best Business and Best Medium Sized Business in the Merton Business Awards.

 

A WORD FROM GINA

I am very proud to have such a long list of awards as I know it’s a very competitive market out there. I feel like my drive to constantly improve and innovate is why my company keeps getting recognised above others. It’s very hard to get a job here at Gina Conway, as our standards are very high. While we expect a lot, we give a lot too. Last year we invested over £100K into our education programme. I opened up our foundation academy to include apprentices from other salons in our accredited programme, unveiling the new Academy at Gina Conway. Now we have a waiting list to get in! I am so proud that being trained at Gina Conway means something. I have always said that having my name over the door is one of the best but most important decisions I have made. It means that I take my business very personally. Everyone who walks out is a reflection of everything that I have ever stood for. I hope that their experience is as I envisioned it.”

 

THE PLANET FIRST

“The thing I am most excited about is that we are leading the way in sustainable salon groups and aim to be carbon neutral in 2020. We have onboarded with so many companies that help us to reduce our carbon footprint and the team are really behind this mission. As well as using Aveda, who really care about the world, we are involved in other initiatives too, like planting trees and donating a portion of our profits to earth charities. It is an incredible time now, we want to make a big splash and lead the way in environmental responsibility just like Aveda do. We spread love in the salons and are fierce protectors of the planet.”
